The Sightron Objective Stop Ring is designed to improve depth of field for all Sightron 60mm and 56mm models. In addition, it increases the mirage reading capability of the riflescope under certain conditions. This accessory comes in a two-piece model, allowing users to step down their 56mm or 60mm objective to either 49mm or 43mm, depending on the conditions. All objective stop rings are made to fit with or without a sunshade attached.

I have only used this reducer once so far. It was put on the Sightron S6 and shot indoors on a very warm day. No signs of mirage. So far so good, I love it so far.
I used it for the first time Sunday 29 March 2026 shooting F Class targets at 600 yards. The weather was mostly cloudy but when the sun peaked through with the wet ground, mirage raised its ugly head. With the new device, I was able to keep my Sightron SIII 10-50X60 set at full power and clearly see the X ring.

I havent had a chance to use it. In the event I'm shooting mirage isnt an issue until the weather start getting colder. I know that sound backwards. but were only shooting 50yards and in the winter we heat the shoot shack. so were always fighting the mirage rolling out of the shooting lanes

It didn’t work for me
Cuts most of the mirage so you can clearly see the target but allows some mirage through to help read the wind. I’m going to buy a second for my other SIII

I went to the range with this attached to my scope. The mirage was very heavy and the target at 600yds was dancing around. My first thought was that this wasn't having much effect on reducing mirage. Then I took it off. Wow! The difference was dramatic. Now, without it, the mirage was so bad that I had no confidence in my ability to hit the 6 inch target. I immediately put it back on and this improved the image 30 to 40 percent. A great product and I'm so glad that it was available directly from you.
