The duplex reticle is the oldest and most popular reticle for hunting in the world. The reticle features thick bars on the vertical and horizontal plane which taper to a thinner section as the near the center intersection of the center of the scope. There are many variations to the design and can be used in ranging game at hunting distances.
The scope has amazing clarity for the price. The tracking is phenomenal. The only two issues are not the scopes fault. I would like the clicks to be a little more tactful, and the numbers to be slightly larger for aging eyes to read more easily other than that, I would like to see a slightly more powerful model somewhere around the 25 to 30 power great scope really like it
Zeroed in my Sightron Big Sky silhouette scope within minutes for 50 meter pigs. Tikka T1X .22LR target rifle & Sightron Big Sky scope are a perfect combination!
I wish it was straight MOA clicks rather than inch clicks. The turrets are incredibly hard to read unless you have 10x zoom eyes (a turret magnifier looks goofy, but is practically required). Other than that, it’s a great scope - I intend to buy another one for my second silhouette rifle.
Excellent scope for NRA smallbore silhouette. SO GLAD that Sightron came back with the SllBS scopes. Personally, I wish they would have kept the original 6-24X magnification, but that’s not a deal breaker for me.
This is a very nice scope -- must be as I bought two. I have long had a SII Big Sky 6-24x42 AO Fine Duplex scope and would have bought a couple more of those had they been available. Quality 1" tube scopes are becoming harder to find and for .22 and .17 rimfire rifles, the 30 mm tube scopes are overkill -- too big and too heavy -- and too often with too-busy reticles that look like a city street map. PLEASE keep this scope going, i.e., do not discontinue it.
Excellent glass and reticle.
Great scope for Silhouette.
Weight perfect. Not heavy.
I would give it a 5/5 if:
1. The turrents were a bit larger and tactile, and markings easier to see.
2. Focus ring was on the objective for making easy markings for 40, 60, 77 and 100 meters.
